Charles Millot — Biography
Charles Millot was born Veljko Milojević on 23 December 1921 in Novi Pavljani, near Bjelovar, in what was then the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and is today Croatia. He settled in France, adopted his stage name there, and spent more than thirty-five years working mostly in supporting and character parts in French cinema.
His roles included Commissaire Matlov in The Eye of the Monocle, Pesquet in The Train, Franck in Trans-Europ-Express, and Miletto in French Connection II, alongside appearances in Generallerin Gecesi, Mayerling and Une ravissante idiote. His career unfolded largely within the period's French crime thrillers and espionage films and the international co-productions that often cast Eastern European émigré actors.
Charles Millot died in Paris on 6 October 2003, at the age of 81.
