Towards Ecstasy

Towards Ecstasy (original title: Vers l'extase) is a 1960 French black-and-white drama film directed by René Wheeler. Adapted from Madeleine Alleins' novel "L'étrangère dans les portes", the film stars Pascale Petit and Giani Esposito in the leading roles.

The film premiered in France on 8 July 1960 and reached West German cinemas in August of the same year. Exterior scenes were shot on location in the Moroccan cities of Casablanca and Rabat, and the picture runs roughly 86 minutes. The ensemble also includes Robert Dalban, France Asselin and Geneviève Kervine.
