Fork in the Road (Yol Ayrımı)

Written and directed by Yavuz Turgul, the 2017 Turkish drama Yol Ayrımı stars Şener Şen as Mazhar Kozanlı, a businessman who has devoted his life to expanding the textile empire he inherited from his father, never hesitating to use aggressive and ruthless methods to get ahead. Everything changes when Mazhar survives a traffic accident. The crash forces him to cling to life anew and opens the door to shedding a heavy burden he has unknowingly carried from the past. The transformation will not be easy: at the crossroads he faces, his own family stands in his way, and he must either pay the price of his choice or give up. Along the road he finds new friends and places, and his path crosses with Nur's ship and its crew. Also featuring Rutkay Aziz, Mert Fırat, Nihal Yalçın and Çiğdem Selışık Onat, the film was shot in Istanbul and released on 10 November 2017.
