Yiğit Özşener — Biography

Yiğit Özşener was born on 6 April 1972 in the Karşıyaka district of İzmir. He graduated in electronics and communications engineering from Yıldız Technical University in 1996 and later completed a business-administration master's degree at Koç University. During his military service he served as a reserve officer teaching English at Kuleli Military High School. He began training in 1994 with the Studio Players ensemble led by director Şahika Tekand, making his professional stage debut the following year in one of her productions, a run that toured festivals in Bulgaria and Macedonia. Alongside theatre he built a broad career in film, television and voice acting, becoming best known for playing Cengiz Atay in the series Ezel. He has also appeared in the Losers' Club film series, Ramo, Barbaroslar, Şahane Hayatım and the HBO Max production Mira, and has staged an award-winning play of his own in London.
