Love Likes Coincidences (Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever)

Love Likes Coincidences is a 2011 Turkish romantic drama film directed by Ömer Faruk Sorak, written by Nuran Evren Şit and produced by Böcek Yapım. Released on February 4, 2011, the film opened at number one at the Turkish box office and became one of the highest-grossing Turkish films of that year. Running 118 minutes, it was voted 41st in a 2014 poll organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism marking the centenary of Turkish cinema, placing it among the 100 best Turkish films of all time.

The story follows Özgür (Mehmet Günsür) and Deniz (Belçim Bilgin), whose paths cross repeatedly in Ankara throughout their childhood and youth, before they meet again in Istanbul in 2010 and find themselves in a love affair full of obstacles. Through flashbacks spanning the 1970s to the 2000s, the narrative revisits the era's fading popular culture, music and lifestyles, giving the film its nostalgic texture. The supporting cast includes Altan Erkekli, Şebnem Sönmez, Ayda Aksel and Hüseyin Avni Danyal.
