Mehmet Günsür — Biography

Mehmet Günsür is a Turkish actor born on 8 May 1975 in Istanbul. A graduate of Marmara University's Faculty of Communication, he began appearing in commercials as a child and, at fourteen in 1989, took roles in the series Cahide and Geçmiş Bahar Mimozaları. He gained wider recognition for his performance in Ferzan Özpetek's Hamam (1997), which earned him the most promising actor award at the Ankara International Film Festival. He played the apostle John in the Italian productions Judas and Thomas, and a Catholic priest in The Good Pope: Pope John XXIII. He reached a broad audience as Şehzade Mustafa in Muhteşem Yüzyıl and played Deniz in the series Fi. His filmography also includes Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever, Ses, Dehşet Gecesi, Anlat İstanbul, İtalyan, O Şimdi Asker, Unutursam Fısılda, and İstanbul Kırmızısı, along with the series Atiye and Kıskanmak. In 2026 he returned to the romantic comedy franchise Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever for its third film, again sharing the lead with Devrim Özkan.
