Cansel Elçin — Biography
Cansel Elçin was born on 20 September 1973 in İzmir and grew up in Paris from childhood. At his family's wish he first pursued economics before turning to acting at the Cours Florent drama school, where he also took classes with John Strasberg and Jack Garfein.
After stage work in France, he met director Ferhan Özpetek and made his film debut in the 1999 movie Harem Suare, then entered Turkish television in Tomris Giritlioğlu's series Kırık Kanatlar. His performance in Hatırla Sevgili earned him a best television actor award in a Beykent University poll, and he went on to appear in the series Eve Dönüş, Kötü Yol, Gönülçelen and Cennetin Çocukları. He shared the lead role with Ece Uslu playing Fuat in the Fox TV series Dayan Yüreğim.
