Ali İl — Biography

Ali İl is a Turkish television and film actor, born on 16 November 1981. He wanted to act from his school years, trained in the theatre department of the Istanbul University State Conservatory and spent a long stretch on stage after finishing his studies.

Television came in 2002 with Sırlar Dünyası, and his Kerem in Ihlamurlar Altında was the part that first got him noticed. Productions that followed include Adını Sen Koy, Küçük Kadınlar, Seni Bana Yazmışlar, Seher Vakti, Aşk Eski Bir Yalan, Benimle Oynar mısın? and Mahmut ile Meryem.

His best-known role is Sadrettin Umman in Poyraz Karayel, which began in 2015; he carried the character over into the 2017 feature Poyraz Karayel: Küresel Sermaye. He played Kaan in Ver Elini Aşk on Kanal D, appeared in the 2018 film Bebek Geliyorum Demez, and later took roles in series such as Sadakatsiz and Kördüğüm. He is described as a versatile performer, at ease in both drama and comedy.
