Celil Nalçakan — Biography

Celil Nalçakan is a Turkish actor born on 10 June 1978 in Sivas, who also pursues music. Raised by a teacher mother and an electrical technician father, he enrolled in geological engineering at Cumhuriyet University after high school but left after seven years to join the Sivas State Theatre. He later studied tourism and hotel management at Balıkesir University while continuing stage work, then passed the TÜRVAK exam, settled in Istanbul, and trained as an actor.

His screen career began in 2006 with the series Sıla. In 2010 he played Necip in Bitmeyen Şarkı, and he went on to appear in productions such as Kış Masalı, Hanımın Çiftliği, Keşanlı Ali Destanı, İntikam, Galip Derviş and Vicdan. Starting in 2015, his portrayal of Zülfikar in Poyraz Karayel brought him wide recognition, and he reprised the role in the 2017 film Poyraz Karayel: Küresel Sermaye. In 2019 he played Cem Güneş in Bir Aile Hikayesi.

From 2021 he delivered one of his best-known performances as Akif Atakul in the long-running series Kardeşlerim. He played Osman in the 2023 film Bursa Bülbülü and appeared in 2025 as Bekri Vezirli, nicknamed Atmaca, in the series Sustalı Ceylan.
