Sila (Sıla) (translated)

Sıla is a Turkish drama that ran on ATV from 2006 through 2008, produced by Most Production across three seasons totaling 79 episodes. The plot follows a woman separated from her family as a child and raised by a wealthy household in Istanbul, who as an adult is drawn back to her ancestral region. To resolve a crisis involving her brother, she is pushed into marrying a tribal leader she has never met.

Much of the drama grows from the clash between the urban upbringing she knows and the traditional customs of her husband's community. Her feelings toward him deepen gradually, even as family pressure and local tensions complicate the relationship. Cansu Dere headlines the cast, supported by Boncuk Yılmaz, Celil Nalçakan, Cemal Toktaş, Tayanç Ayaydın, and Hümeyra.

The show drew a large domestic audience during its original run and was later licensed to numerous foreign broadcasters, airing across the Middle East, the Balkans, and Latin America to strong ratings in several of those markets. Music by Sezen Aksu featured prominently in the production.
