Almila Bağrıaçık — Biography

Almila Bağrıaçık was born on 10 July 1990 in Ankara and moved to Berlin with her family. Based in Germany, she has built most of her acting career in German film and television.

She made her feature film debut as Rana in the 2010 German-Turkish co-production Ayrılık (Die Fremde). In 2013 she played Arzu in 300 Worte Deutsch, and in 2016 she portrayed Semiya Şimşek in the television film Die Opfer – Vergesst mich nicht. In 2017 she gained international attention as Amara Hamady in the acclaimed Berlin crime drama series 4 Blocks.

Since 2017 she has played commissioner Mila Sahin in the Kiel episodes of the long-running German crime series Tatort, first appearing in that role in the 2018 episode Borowski und das Haus der Geister. She also appeared in the period drama Die Kaiserin. In Türkiye, she became known to audiences as Filiz in the Kanal D series Hayat Şarkısı.

Working across both Turkish and German screens, Bağrıaçık is regarded as one of the notable actresses of her generation, particularly in dramatic roles.
