Nursel Köse — Biography

Nursel Köse was born on 29 March 1961 in Malatya and went to Germany as an exchange student, where she studied architecture at the University of Cologne.

She pursued theatre alongside her studies and, after a brief spell working as an architect, shifted her focus to the stage; she performed with various theatre companies in Germany and Turkey and, in 1992, founded the cabaret group "Yer Kozmetikçileri," touring different German cities with it.

She gained wide recognition for playing Yeter in Fatih Akın's film The Edge of Heaven (Yaşamın Kıyısında), a role that earned her recognition at the 44th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.

In Germany she appeared in productions such as SOKO Köln, Türkisch für Anfänger and Tatort, while in Turkey she was seen in Kavak Yelleri and, later, as Keriman in the series Paramparça, which brought her recognition with Turkish audiences.

Continuing to work across both countries, she remains active today in newer series such as Karadut.
