Don't Run, Brother (Kaçma Birader) (translated)

Kaçma Birader is a Turkish comedy that reached theaters in 2016, co-directed by Defne Deliormanlı and Murat Kaman under the supervision of Ömer Faruk Sorak. Its script carries the joint credit of brothers Emrah Kaman and Murat Kaman. Backed by Star TV together with Endemol Shine Group, the picture was largely shot on location between Istanbul and Yozgat.

The plot follows an unusual family from Yozgat who set off for Istanbul after their youngest son sneaks off there to be near the girl he's fallen for. Their pursuit through the streets of Taksim and Beyoğlu unfolds as a chaotic, comedy-driven road adventure.

Zafer Algöz heads the ensemble, with Cihan Ercan, Algı Eke, Nejat Uygur, İnanç Konukçu, İlker Kızmaz, and Meltem Yılmazkaya rounding out the cast. At the 22nd Sadri Alışık Awards, the film brought Zafer Algöz the prize for best actor in comedy while Emrah Kaman took home the best supporting actor honor.
