Angela Finocchiaro — Biography

Angela Finocchiaro, born on 20 November 1955 in Milan, is an Italian actress, comedian and screenwriter who has worked across theatre, television and film. She made her screen debut in 1979 with Ratataplan and became a familiar face through the 1980s and 1990s in films such as Il burbero (1986) and To Want to Fly (1991).

She won back-to-back David di Donatello awards for Best Supporting Actress: in 2006 for Cristina Comencini's Don't Tell, and in 2007 for playing Amelia Benassi in My Brother Is an Only Child. In the 2010s she appeared in comedies including Indovina chi viene a Natale? (2013), Vacanze ai Caraibi (2015) and Solo (2016). More recently she joined the cast of the Italian improv comedy show LOL - Chi ride è fuori and reprised the same role in The Price of Family (2022) and its follow-up The Price of Nonna's Inheritance (2024).
