Aslı Tandoğan — Biography

Aslı Tandoğan trained as a professional harpist before turning to acting, and her name is most associated with Lamia Sönmez in Dudaktan Kalbe. Recently she has been in the casts of Prens and Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı, and she is set to play the title character in the project Kara Fatma.

She was involved with music from childhood: she spent about ten years at the Ankara State Conservatory of Hacettepe University, first playing the violin for a year and then moving to the harp. After playing harp in the Antalya State Opera and Ballet orchestra she moved to Istanbul in 2003 to act. Her first screen work was Gülüm in 2002. In 2005 she made her name as Dilan Şahvar in Aşka Sürgün, and in 2007 she moved into cinema as Karaca opposite Kenan İmirzalıoğlu in Kabadayı. Dudaktan Kalbe, which aired the same year, introduced her to a wide audience.

Later she took very different parts in Kapalı Çarşı, Zehirli Sarmaşık, Bir Zamanlar Osmanlı: Kıyam, A.Ş.K., Leyla ile Mecnun and, as Ilgın, in the Behzat Ç. universe, and she played a sultan's daughter in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem. Git Başımdan, Kendime İyi Bak, Yuvamdaki Düşman and Kadınlara Mahsus are also among her credits. Years later she reunited with a Dudaktan Kalbe co-star on a new project.
