Can Nergis — Biography

Can Nergis is a Turkish actor and former model, born on 27 May 1985 in Istanbul. After finishing high school in Istanbul, he moved to London for his university education, and with the encouragement of his aunt, fashion designer Neslihan Yargıcı, he went on to build a modeling career in the Far East. He worked as a model in China and Thailand, and during his roughly eight years in Thailand he also ran a restaurant called Shewa. In addition to Turkish, he speaks English, Chinese, Thai and Russian.

Returning to Türkiye in 2011, he made his acting debut in the short-lived series Her Şeye Rağmen, appeared as a guest in Dila Hanım, and joined the cast of Paşa Gönlüm in 2014. His breakthrough to wider recognition came through his portrayal of Commissioner Onur Yalçın in the long-running police drama Arka Sokaklar.

After roles in Maral and Tatlı İntikam, he played Ali Tezel in Star TV's Anne in 2016, took on the role of Tolga Erlik in Börü in 2018, and appeared as Vincenzo in Adanış: Kutsal Kavga in 2022. He married model Jelena Milosavljevic in 2017, and the couple has a daughter.
