Wolf (Börü)

Börü is a 2018 Turkish feature that continues and concludes the six-part television series of the same title originally broadcast on Star TV. Helmed by Can Emre and Cem Özüduru from a screenplay by Alper Çağlar, the production mixes crime, action, thriller and drama. At its core stands the Börü unit, a handpicked squad of elite operatives serving within the Police Special Operations department, a team that believes no assignment is beyond its ability. On the night of the 15 July 2016 coup attempt, the bombing of the Special Operations headquarters throws these men into a nightmare lasting until dawn. Though wounded and facing overwhelming circumstances, the officers refuse to abandon their duty, and their defiance through that long night becomes part of the country's history. Serkan Çayoğlu, Murat Arkın, Ahu Türkpençe, Emir Benderlioğlu and Can Nergis lead the cast. The film premiered in Turkish cinemas on 28 December 2018, running 126 minutes and effectively serving as the series finale.
