Ahu Türkpençe — Biography
Ahu Türkpençe is a Turkish actress, born in Samsun on 2 January 1977. She was pursuing a physics degree at Yıldız Technical University when she passed the audition for the Müjdat Gezen Art Center and abandoned her studies to train there. She started out on the series Yedi Numara and Azad, then moved to film with Ezel Akay's Neredesin Firuze. Playing Esma Kozan Arhan in the widely watched series Bir İstanbul Masalı brought her broad recognition.
For her performance in the play Sondan Sonra, staged by Duru Tiyatro, she was named best actress at both the Afife Jale and Lions theatre awards. She went on to appear in the series Şöhret, the 2010 film Kaybedenler Kulübü, and won praise for her lead role in Deniz Akçay's Köksüz. She featured in Dağ 2 in 2016, then played Asena Tümer in the Börü series and its film sequel from 2018 to 2022, and took the role of Kirra Hatun in the 2023-2025 series Mevlânâ Celâleddîn-i Rûmî.
