Ebru Özkan — Biography

Ebru Özkan, born on 18 November 1978 in Ankara, is a Turkish actress and model. She graduated from the theatre department of Ankara University's Faculty of Language, History and Geography, and appeared on stage in plays such as Romeo and Juliet, A Streetcar Named Desire and They Shoot Horses, Don't They?. One of her earliest screen roles was Melisa in the 2006 television film segment Bir Kış Masalı from Çağan Irmak's Kabuslar Evi anthology.

After parts in the series Gözyaşı Çetesi, Kara İnci and Güldünya, she reached a broad audience in 2009 as Halide in Hanımın Çiftliği. She went on to play Berrin in Çınar Ağacı (2011) and Ela in Hayatımın Rolü (2012). Her portrayal of Dilara opposite Erkan Petekkaya in Paramparça, which began in 2014, brought her international fame, as the series was hugely popular in Turkey, the Arab world and Greece.

In later years she appeared in Memories of the Wind (2015), Şahin Tepesi (2018) and Türkler Geliyor: Adaletin Kılıcı (2020). In 2022 she played Yasemin in Hakim, Leyla in Ben Bu Cihana Sığmazam and Hülya in Ben Gri, and in 2023 she joined the Netflix series Şahmaran and the Prime Video film Bihter. Since 2024 she has starred as Handan in the ATV drama Can Borcu.
