Éric Berger — Biography

Éric Berger is a French actor best known for playing Julien "Breitling" Madigan in Quatre garçons pleins d'avenir and the title role in Tanguy (2001), which he reprised in its 2019 sequel. Born on 13 June 1969 in Amiens, he trained at Cours Florent and at the national drama conservatory in Paris, and was nominated for the César Award for Most Promising Actor.

His screen career began in 1993 with Montparnasse-Pondichéry, continuing through Tom est tout seul (1995), Nitrato d'argento (1996) and Quatre garçons pleins d'avenir (1997). After Tanguy in 2001 he appeared in La confiance règne (2004), Cavalcade (2005), Neuilly sa mère!, Bitter Victory and Pıtırcık (all 2009), and Beur sur la ville (2011). Alongside film work he has taken roles in television series including Julie Lescaut, Avocats & Associés, Profilage (2014) and Maigret (2018); active continuously since 1991, his credits now number over forty productions.
