Hassan Rezaei — Biography

Hassan Rezaei is an Iranian actor and stuntman who worked in the country's cinema for many years. He appeared in more than 150 Iranian films, and his name turns up in the credits of many popular productions made from the late 1960s through the 1970s. Two nominations for the Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actor at the Fajr Film Festival are the clearest mark of recognition in his career.

He entered cinema with a couple of brief shots in Mehdi Raeis-Firouz's Peymān-e Dostī (1959). In the following years he appeared in productions of the 1960s and 1970s such as Meliksah, Dancer of City, The Dagger, Zabih, Kowsar and Ashes of Love, playing Gholam in Khan Nayeb (1978) and Bagher in Breathtaking (1979). He kept working after the late 1980s too, in films such as The Grand Day, A Search In The Island and Scorpion.

Both of his Fajr nominations were for films directed by Kianoush Ayari: Shabah-e Kazhdom and The Abadanis. In the latter he played a character named Hassan Khouf. He was born in Malayer.
