Lorenza Indovina — Biography

Lorenza Indovina was born in Rome on 5 October 1966, the daughter of director Franco Indovina. She trained at the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1991, and made her stage debut in 1992 in Francesco Crescimone's Il trittico di Antonello. She has been nominated twice for the David di Donatello award, in 1997 for The Truce and in 2000 for Un amore (A Love). She has been married to writer Niccolò Ammaniti since 2005.

Her film career took shape in the early 1990s with pictures such as La ribelle and La scorta, followed by The Truce (1997), Un amore (1999), Padre Pio: Miracle Man and Almost Blue (2000), Life as It Comes (2003), Sorry, You Can't Get Through! (2005) and Il segreto di Rahil (2006). In later years she appeared in The Past Is a Foreign Land (2008), Qualunquemente (2011), Tutti contro tutti (2013), Burning Love (2015), Forever Young (2016) and Everything's Gonna Be Alright (2020), and on television in The Miracle (2018); she reprised her character Anna from Everything's Gonna Be Alright in the 2022 series Everything Calls for Salvation.
