Robert Knepper — Biography

Robert Lyle Knepper, born on 8 July 1959 in Fremont, Ohio, and raised in nearby Maumee, is an American actor recognized for playing villainous characters on television and in film. The son of a veterinarian, he developed an early interest in acting through his mother's work at a community theatre and performed in productions during high school before studying acting at Northwestern University. He is best known for playing the psychopathic convict Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell on the Fox series Prison Break, a role that earned him a Satellite Award nomination. He also appeared as Samuel Sullivan during Heroes' last season, played Angus McDonough on iZombie, and took the role of Rodney Mitchum when Twin Peaks returned in 2017. His film work includes the FSB agent Yuri Marklov in Hitman (2007), Johnson in Transporter 3 (2008), and a role in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016), as well as the 2018 film Edge of Fear.
