Criminal Minds

Criminal Minds is an American police procedural crime drama created by Jeff Davis that premiered on CBS on September 22, 2005. The series follows an elite team of criminal profilers working in the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, based in Quantico, Virginia. The team travels across the country, examining crime scenes and constructing psychological profiles of the perpetrators — referred to as unknown subjects — in order to anticipate their next moves before they strike again. Unlike many crime dramas, the show concentrates more on the mind of the offender than on the crime itself; most episodes are self-contained, and some cases draw on altered versions of real-life crimes. A long-running ratings success for CBS, it won the People's Choice Award for Best TV Crime Drama in 2017. The series originally concluded with its fifteenth season in February 2020, but was revived under the title Criminal Minds: Evolution on Paramount+ in November 2022 and has continued with further seasons. Its popularity also produced spin-off series, a South Korean adaptation, and a video game.
