Fay Masterson — Biography

Fay Masterson was born on April 15, 1974 in Kent, England. She began performing as a dancer, giving it up at age eleven after being cast in The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking; she had originally auditioned for the title role, which went to her co-star Tami Erin, but director Ken Annakin liked her enough to write the Head Girl part specifically for her. In 1986 she was interviewed on the British television show Wogan, and she went on to guest-star in series including Jupiter Moon, Casualty, Game On and The Ruth Rendell Mysteries.

She appeared in American films such as The Power of One (1992) and Mel Gibson's The Man Without a Face (1993), before reaching wider audiences with The Quick and the Dead (1995). Across more than twenty-five films and thirty-five television productions, she has also voiced characters in video games, played the ship's chief engineer Andrea Garnett on The Last Ship, and portrayed Gail Jones in Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. Other credits include CSI: Miami, Paparazzi, The Mentalist and Broken Angel, released in Turkey as Meleğin Sırları.
