Savaş Akova — Biography
Born in Istanbul on 24 August 1948, Savaş Akova was a member of the Association of Contemporary Cinema Actors who appeared in more than thirty films across a career that combined acting with work as an assistant director. His filmography, opening with Alişan in 1982, includes films such as Tutku, Dağınık Yatak, Kuyucaklı Yusuf, 2 Genç Kız, Sis ve Gece, Hayatımın Kadınısın, Karanlıktakiler and 11'e 10 Kala, alongside series such as Yaprak Dökümü, Ayşecik, Gülbeyaz and Yabancı Damat.
He also served as assistant director on productions including Kurtar Beni, Yarınsız Adam and Tutku. Akova died in Ankara on 23 January 2013 and was buried at Karşıyaka Cemetery.
