Şenay Gürler — Biography

Şenay Gürler is an actress who created one of Turkish television's memorable characters, Fatoş in Avrupa Yakası, and who has combined stage, dubbing, presenting and cinema. She now plays Yeliz Aksel in Aşk ve Gözyaşı, and in 2026 returned to the stage with the one-woman play Bu Hikâye Senden Uzun Osman.

Her path began in theatre and voice work. While studying cinema at Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Fine Arts she presented on TRT and acted at the İzmir Art Theatre; after moving to Istanbul she did advertising and film voice-over, and dubbed Lynette Scavo into Turkish in Desperate Housewives for the channel e2. Her screen career started with Kaygısızlar (1994). Avrupa Yakası (2004) made her widely known, and the same year her part as İpek in Reha Erdem's Korkuyorum Anne brought her the SİYAD Best Supporting Actress award. Acemi Cadı (Selda), Küçük Sırlar, Kaçak Gelinler (Seniha Sultan) and Şahsiyet followed.

In recent years she has played Azade Sancakzade in Kalp Yarası, Serap in the Netflix film Tam Bir Centilmen and Meral in the İyi Adamın 10 Günü films. She was the middle child of a tailor's family in İzmir, and in 2026 she told the press that good scripts are not coming her way.
