Desert Eagle is a 1972 Turkish film. Directed by Halit Refiğ, it is a love and action story set against a historical backdrop.

The film tells the story of Murat and Faruk, two Ottoman officers who grew up together and are close friends, but who unknowingly fall in love with the same woman: Leyla, the daughter of Kamil Pasha. After graduating from military school, Murat and Faruk are assigned to Yemen by Kamil Pasha; Murat is wounded and disappears during a clash with desert bandits, and the events unfold after this separation. Cüneyt Arkın plays the lead role (Captain Murat), while the cast also includes Bahar Erdeniz (Leyla), Süleyman Turan (Captain Faruk), Hayati Hamzaoğlu, Atıf Kaptan, and Kazım Kartal.

The Bosphorus scenes in the film were shot at Rumeli Hisarı, the central settlement scenes related to Yemen were filmed at Diyarbakır Castle, and the mountain castle scenes were filmed in Mardin.
