The first season of Diriliş: Ertuğrul, a Turkish historical fiction series created by Mehmet Bozdağ, opened on TRT 1 on 10 December 2014. Broadcast on Wednesday evenings at 9 p.m. local time, the season comprised 26 episodes and wrapped up on 17 June 2015.

The story follows the Kayı tribe in the 13th century as it looks for a new homeland while facing Mongol pressure. Süleyman Şah, the tribe's leader, fights to shield his people and win them a lasting territory, while his son Ertuğrul distinguishes himself through courage and a strong sense of justice. The foes he confronts and the people he meets along the way shape not only his own destiny but the future of the tribe. This season lays the groundwork for the larger events to come, including the path that will eventually lead toward the foundation of the Ottoman state.

Engin Altan Düzyatan portrays Ertuğrul, with Kaan Taşaner, Hülya Darcan, Serdar Gökhan, Didem Balçın and Esra Bilgiç rounding out the main cast. The season precedes and sets up the series' second season.
