Locksmith's Debt (Küçük Esnaf)

Küçük Esnaf is a Turkish comedy that opened in spring 2016, directed by Bedran Güzel. The script was written by İbrahim Büyükak and Zeynep Koçak, who also play the leading roles.

The plot follows a modest neighborhood locksmith who, after his father's sudden death, discovers his inheritance is not money but a large debt owed to a criminal gang. While scrambling to settle the debt, he crosses paths with a young lawyer defending one of the gang's members, and as a chain of odd mishaps unfolds, a bond gradually forms between the two of them.

Cengiz Bozkurt appears as the gang boss, supported by Ferdi Sancar, Gupse Özay, Olgun Toker, Uğurtan Sayıner, and Erdal Tosun. The film is remembered as one of the more popular domestic comedies of its year.
