Playa del futuro

Playa del futuro is a 2005 German comedy-drama directed by Peter Lichtefeld. It follows three childhood friends who run a corner pub in Mülheim an der Ruhr: when Rudi chases his dream to Spain, leaving behind his Finnish girlfriend Kati, Jan and Kati take over the place and turn it into a Spanish restaurant. On opening day, however, they discover that Rudi never paid any tax and must find 25,000 euros or lose everything. Told in a quiet, melancholy key about love and the longing for dreams, the film features Peter Lohmeyer, Nina Petri and Hilmi Sözer.
