Recep İvedik 5

Recep İvedik 5 is a 2017 Turkish comedy film directed by Togan Gökbakar, who co-wrote the screenplay with Şahan Gökbakar. It is the fifth entry in the long-running Recep İvedik franchise and premiered on February 16, 2017.

The plot centers on Recep taking over an unfinished task left by a recently deceased neighborhood driver, İsmet, which involves escorting a group of national athletes to Skopje; when the athletes fall ill, Recep himself ends up competing on Turkey's behalf across several sports. Şahan Gökbakar reprises the title role.

Shot across Istanbul, Antalya, and Skopje, the film drew roughly 7.4 million admissions in Turkey and grossed close to ₺86 million, ranking among the country's most-watched and highest-grossing domestic releases of its era.
