The Longest Hunt

Spara, Gringo, spara (released internationally as The Longest Hunt) is a 1968 Italian Spaghetti Western directed by Bruno Corbucci, who co-wrote the screenplay with Mario Amendola and was also credited under the pseudonym Frank B. Corlish. The cast includes Brian Kelly, Keenan Wynn, Erika Blanc, and Krista Nell.

The film marked the first western helmed by Bruno Corbucci, brother of genre specialist Sergio Corbucci, and apart from the parodic The Three Musketeers of the West it remains his only work in the genre. Released in German-speaking countries as Im Staub der Sonne on 13 August 1971, it was received fairly positively there, although critic Alex Cox later dismissed it as derivative and boring. The title song is performed by Little Tony.
