The Skint

The Skint (original Persian title As o Pas) is a 1961 Iranian film directed by Siamak Yasemi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ebrahim Zamani Ashtiani. Blending drama and comedy, the Persian-language production runs about 90 minutes and features a cast that includes Humayun Tebrizyan, Arman, and Nasır Melek. The picture belongs to the era of popular Iranian commercial cinema and is counted among the rare and hard-to-find works of the country's film history; surviving documentation about its production and storyline is scarce. It is regarded as one of the lesser-known titles in Yasemi's directorial output from the early 1960s.
