Handsome Pickpocket (Hırsız Kız (film, 1968))

Made in 1968-1969, this Turkish-Iranian co-production is a comedy blending romance and musical elements, directed by Türker İnanoğlu. Safa Önal wrote the screenplay, Çetin Gürtop served as cinematographer and Metin Bükey composed the music, with Erler Film producing. As its title suggests, the story follows a lighthearted romance set against a petty-crime backdrop. Filiz Akın plays the lead, credited under the names Mehtap and Yıldız, while Humayun Tebrizyan appears as a gardener character; the cast also includes Kartal Tibet, Iraj Ghaderi and Malek Motiee.
