Ayrılık (1972) is a Turkish romantic drama directed by Türker İnanoğlu and produced by Erler Film. Suna (Filiz Akın), the star singer of a nightclub, decides to flee when her menacing boss Vural (Ekrem Bora), who is obsessively in love with her, keeps pressuring her to be his. Murat (Ediz Hun) is a gambler on the run after cheating a club owner out of a fortune at cards. The two fugitives cross paths, escape together to Greece, and fall in love. Vural, however, refuses to let Suna go and forces her into marriage by threatening Murat's life. Murat's talent at the gambling tables earns him a job as manager of Vural's club, but a single die reveals his hidden bond with Suna, and Vural discovers the truth. Feigning a change of heart, Vural promises Suna a divorce, yet his men kill Murat. In the finale, Vural drives Suna away under the pretense of reuniting her with her lover, then plunges the car off a cliff, killing them both.
