Yasemin Sakallıoğlu — Biography

Yasemin Sakallıoğlu is a comedian, writer and actress who moved from social media videos to the stage and screen. The fame she gained from short videos imitating her mother carried her first into film and then onto stand-up stages. In summer 2026 she began shooting the lead role in the black-comedy film Düğün Şarkıcısı.

Working in banking at the time, Sakallıoğlu quickly built a large following in 2014 with imitation videos she posted for fun; her own comic take on a Demet Akalın song also drew attention in those years. Her first professional job was the film Bizum Hoca, and in 2015 she played Lütfiye, the sister of Hızır, in the series Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz; she also joined Şahan Gökbakar's project Zengo. On stage she is cited as the first comedian to give a stand-up show at Ülker Sport Arena and the first woman comedian to perform at the Harbiye Open-Air Theatre. Her own show Doğru Koca Nasıl Seçilir ended in early 2026.

She was named best comedian at the Hacettepe University Kristal Geyik Awards, took the Quality Awards' best female comedian prize, and won best Instagram influencer at the Inflow Awards. She began studying drama and acting at İstanbul Aydın University in 2016 and left in 2019. In 2021 she published the book Dış Güzellik Yasaklansın Ruh Güzelliğine Geçelim and married Burak Yırtar the same year.
