Yüsra Geyik — Biography

Yüsra Geyik's name became bound up with Zeliha Çoban, known as Zeliş, whom she played in Arka Sokaklar across a decade and a half. An actor since childhood, she now moves between series on different channels and platforms; her newest work includes Bize Bi'şey Olmaz (as Hare) and ATV's Altı Üstü İstanbul.

She was born in Samsun to a family from Çarşamba and, from second grade, went to school in Ataköy, Istanbul. In fourth grade a visiting theatre course introduced her to the stage, and she directed a play she had written herself, Horozum. She studied graphic design at İstanbul Kültür University, but had already stepped in front of a camera at 13 in Hayat Bilgisi, followed by small parts in Yabancı Damat, Nehir, Kin ve Gül and Afacanlar Kampı. Her breakthrough was Arka Sokaklar in 2006, which she stayed with until 2021.

Afterwards she became Melisa in Camdaki Kız, Hilal in Bozkır, Yağmur Akın in Aile and Rüya in Taş Kağıt Makas; she played Zeynep in Bir Gece Masalı and Kıvılcım in Sahtekarlar, and appeared in the film Bi Umut. She is also known for social-media posts featuring her dog, Bobo.
