Edmond Beauchamp — Biography

Edmond Beauchamp was a French film actor who also had a career on the Broadway stage, sometimes credited simply as Beauchamp. Born in Montpellier, he worked across nearly half a century, taking part in close to seventy productions in all.

Character parts formed the core of his work: he played Glomaud in Le Beau Serge and Don Miguel in Le Bossu, alongside roles in Devil in the Flesh, The White Truck, Hercule, Crimson Curtain and If Paris Were Told to Us. His screen presence ran from 1928 to 1979, after which television work took over from 1960 onward; he died in Saint-Brieuc in 1985.
