Edmond Beauchamp — Biography
Edmond Beauchamp was a French character actor who worked from the 1920s to the late 1970s. In credits he was sometimes listed only as Beauchamp. He appeared in about seventy films between 1928 and 1979, and also worked on the Broadway stage. After 1960 he worked mainly in television productions.
His roles included the actor playing King Duncan in Crimson Curtain (1952), the Count of Luxembourg in Shadow of the Guillotine (1956), the grandfather in Le petit prof and a father in School for Love (1955). He also played Glomaud in Le Beau Serge (1958) and Don Miguel in Le Bossu (1959).
His filmography also includes Hercule (1938), Devil in the Flesh (1947), If Paris Were Told to Us (1956) and Captain Blood (1960). He was born in Montpellier and died in Saint-Brieuc in 1985.
