Ercan Kesal — Biography

Ercan Kesal was born in 1959 in Nevşehir.

After completing his education at the Faculty of Medicine of Ege University, he obtained a Master's degree in Applied Psychology at the İTİCÜ Institute of Social Sciences and completed a Doctorate in Social Anthropology at Yeditepe University.

While studying at the Faculty of Medicine, he published his first poems and writings in the İzmir-based magazine Dönem; he released the books Peri Gazozu in 2013, Evvel Zaman in 2014, Nasipse Adayız in 2015 and Cin Aynası in 2016.

He had his first acting experience in 2002 with the film Uzak; he appeared in many projects such as Bulantı, Hükümet Kadın, Küf, Üç Maymun, Bir Zamanlar Anadolu'da and Vavien.

Ercan Kesal, who appeared in the series İçerde and Kayıp Şehir, portrays the character İdris Koçovalı in the series Çukur, broadcast on Show Tv, whose cast includes important names such as Dilan Çiçek Deniz, Aras Bulut İynemli, Perihan Savaş, Ercan Kesal, Mustafa Üstündağ, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, Öner Erkan, Rıza Kocaoğlu and Nebil Sayın.
