Gülse Birsel — Biography

Gülse Birsel was born in 1971 in İstanbul.

After completing her education in the Economics Department of Boğaziçi University, she did a master's degree in cinema at Columbia University in New York.

In 1996, Gülse Birsel prepared the foreign news for the Atv breakfast bulletin; later she served as editor-in-chief of the magazines Esquire, FHM, House Beautiful, Gezi and Harper's Bazaar.

In 2002 she wrote the scripts for the g.a.g program broadcast on Atv; in 2004 she took on the screenwriting of the series Avrupa Yakası and also appeared in its cast.

Gülse Birsel has appeared in the series Yalan Dünya, Ah Kalbim, Avrupa Yakası and Eyvah Eski Kocam, and in the films Hırsız Var and 7 Kocalı Hürmüz.

She plays the character Gizem in the series Jet Sosyete, written by Gülse Birsel and broadcast on Star Tv, whose cast includes many names such as Gülse Birsel, Çağlar Çorumlu, Sarp Apak, Hasibe Eren, Cengiz Bozkurt, Ayşenil Şamlıoğlu, Derya Karadaş, Enis Arıkan, Bartu Küçükçağlayan, Aslı Bekiroğlu and Şahin Irmak.
