Sarp Apak — Biography

Kerim Sarp Apak was born on 11 November 1981 in Diyarbakır and relocated with his family to Bursa as a child. After finishing Bursa Erkek High School, he graduated in 2004 from the Acting Department of Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Fine Arts, then moved to Istanbul on his teacher's encouragement, performing at the Sadri Alışık Theatre and joining Yılmaz Erdoğan's BKM troupe.

He entered film with a small part in Organize İşler and, after series such as En Son Babalar Duyar and Anadolu Kaplanı, achieved nationwide fame as Tanrıverdi in the sitcom Avrupa Yakası. He went on to appear in Kavak Yelleri and Gülse Birsel's comedies Yalan Dünya and Jet Sosyete, where he played Ozan Özpamuk, and in 2021 he portrayed Mahir in the drama Kaderimin Oyunu.

His film credits include Beyaz Melek, Plajda, 7 Kocalı Hürmüz, Güneşi Gördüm, Aşk Geliyorum Demez, Yeraltı, Karışık Kaset and Yaktın Beni, as well as the hit comedy Ölümlü Dünya and its sequel Ölümlü Dünya 2. More recently he appeared in İyi Bir Aile Değiliz and Efes'in Sırrı, and performs on stage in the play Bir Aile Provası. He is married to Bengisu Uzunöz.
