Öner Erkan — Biography

Öner Erkan is a Turkish film, television and stage actor, born on 4 January 1980 in İzmir.

He stepped onto the stage through acting courses he attended while still in high school, graduated from the Theatre Department of Dokuz Eylül University in 2002 and later earned a master's degree at Bahçeşehir University. His first television experience came from hosting a children's program on TRT; between 2002 and 2004 he worked as a dancer at the Istanbul City Theatre, and in 2004 he joined the Oyun Atölyesi company.

He began his series career with Kuzenlerim in 2002 and reached wide audiences through productions such as Avrupa Yakası, İki Aile, Yalan Dünya and Mutlu Ol Yeter. From 2017 he earned great acclaim for his portrayal of Selim Koçovalı in Çukur; in 2020 he appeared in Bir Başkadır, and in 2022 he played Oktay Uysal in the Netflix series Uysallar.

Erkan, who has appeared in feature films including Organize İşler, Kağıt, İtirazım Var, Ahlat Ağacı and Azizler, won the Golden Orange Best Actor Award for his role as Hakan in Bornova Bornova.
