O... Çocukları is a 2008 Turkish film directed by Murat Saraçoğlu from a screenplay by Sırrı Süreyya Önder. Set in the aftermath of the 12 September 1980 military coup, it follows a married couple wanted as political fugitives who decide to flee the country; unable to take their children with them, they search for a safe place to leave them behind. They entrust the children to Mehtap Anne, a woman who, having herself left sex work, now cares for the children of women still in it. Against the era's climate of military pressure, the film touches on motherhood, childhood and the weight of social judgement. Demet Akbağ leads an ensemble cast that includes Özgü Namal, Sarp Apak, Altan Erkekli, İpek Tuzcuoğlu, Sezin Akbaşoğulları and Selen Uçer.
