Nur Sürer — Biography
Nur Sürer was born on 21 June 1954 in Bursa and began her film career in 1971 with Kül Kedisi.
She moved into television in 1979 with Erden Kıral's Bereketli Topraklar Üzerinde and became known for socially conscious roles addressing women's rights and prison conditions. She appeared in close to forty feature films, among them Umuda Yolculuk, Yara and Eksik.
Her performances in the series Ihlamurlar Altında and Asi reached wide audiences; she won Best Actress honors more than once at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival and later received the festival's Lifetime Achievement Award.
She currently plays Melek in the series Kayıtdışı, broadcast on Fox TV.
