Talat Bulut — Biography
Talat Bulut was born on 23 March 1956 in the Sarıkamış district of Kars; while studying electronic engineering at Hacettepe University he turned to theatre, won a place at the Ankara Art Theatre's actor auditions and left his studies unfinished.
He entered cinema in 1979 opposite Türkan Şoray in Ali Özgentürk's film Hazal, and gained wide recognition through the 1994 film Manisa Tarzanı, for which he won the best actor award at the Ankara Film Festival.
His work in films such as Derman, Melekler Evi and Abuzer Kadayıf brought him honours from the Antalya Golden Orange festival and Turkish cinema awards, while on television he appeared in series including Aşk, Saklambaç, Annem, Mutluluk, Kasaba, Mucize and Göç Zamanı.
He continues to play Halit, a lead role in the long-running Fox TV drama Yasak Elma, and also keeps working as a voice actor.
