Taner Ölmez — Biography
Taner Ölmez was born on 9 August 1986 in Istanbul and trained at the Theatre Department of Istanbul University's State Conservatory.
He made his screen debut in the 2009 series Kapalı Çarşı and around the same time appeared in Kül ve Ateş and İstanbul'un Altınları. He moved into film with Osman Sınav's Uzun Hikaye, and in 2013 played Mert Asım Serez in Medcezir, the Turkish adaptation of The O.C.
His stage performance in Katil Joe earned him the Afife Jale Theatre Award in 2014. He played the young Osman in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem and Aleko in Yüz Yüze, and reached a wide audience as Ali Vefa in the series Mucize Doktor, which began in 2019.
He appeared as Ziya in Creature and took a role in Çağan Irmak's Netflix series Yaratılan, both in 2023, and joined the productions Deha and Hayatla Barış in 2024.
