Roseanna's Grave
Roseanna's Grave (also released as For Roseanna) is a 1997 American-Italian romantic comedy-drama directed by Paul Weiland. Set in a small Italian town, the story follows Marcello (Jean Reno), whose beloved wife Roseanna (Mercedes Ruehl) suffers from a heart condition. Convinced she may die before him, Marcello discovers that only a handful of burial plots remain in the town cemetery. Determined to secure one of the last spots for his wife, he sets off an absurd chain of events as the townspeople begin competing for the remaining graves, and unexpected deaths turn the situation into a bittersweet farce. Written by Saul Turteltaub, the film also stars Polly Walker alongside Reno and Ruehl. Blending gentle humor with genuine tenderness, it tells a story about the lengths people will go to for those they love.
