Aleksandar Seksan — Biography
Aleksandar Seksan is a Bosnian actor known for roles in dramas dealing with his country's post-war era, most notably as Miro Jovanović in the award-winning Remake and as Enco in Death in Sarajevo. He was born on 24 August 1968 in Sarajevo and trained as an actor at the Academy of Performing Arts there.
Active on screen since 1997, his credits now run past thirty productions: in 1999 he appeared in Kusursuz Çember, and in 2003 in both Remake and Summer in the Golden Valley as well as the multi-director film 11 Eylül; in 2007 he played Mrki in It's Hard to Be Nice, and in 2012 Rizo in Children of Sarajevo. Death in Sarajevo in 2016 brought him wider international notice; he went on to appear in films such as Tako da ne ostane živa and Naša svakodnevna priča, and on television in the 2022 series Na rubu pameti. In his personal life he has spoken publicly about converting to Islam. His career has centered largely on Bosnian and regional productions addressing his country's recent history.
