Miraj Grbić — Biography

Miraj Grbić, born in Sarajevo on 17 July 1976, is a Bosnian-American stage, television and film actor. He earned a master's degree in acting from the Academy of Performing Arts at the University of Sarajevo and has performed in more than sixty plays on the main stage of the Sarajevo National Theatre since 1996, taking on characters written by Molière, Chekhov, Shakespeare and Gogol. In film he has appeared in nearly forty features made in the United States, Bosnia, Croatia, Germany, Austria, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Turkey, Macedonia, Australia and Canada, playing Bogdan in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Mitar in Remake, Goran in The Hunting Party, and Mustafa in Halima's Path. His television credits include American shows such as American Horror Story, S.W.A.T. and Santa Clarita Diet, alongside Balkan series such as Lud, zbunjen, normalan and Viza za budućnost. Based in Los Angeles since 2013, he has also taught screen acting at the New York Film Academy's campus there. Between 2010 and 2014 he fronted the pop-rock band Karne, which he formed with Goran Navojec and Feđo Isović and which released its sole album, Diktatura amatera, in 2012. He married Croatian actress Marija Omaljev in 2008.
